Care and Maintenance of SEA Hardware

SEA hardware has been designed to be maintenance free over its lifetime. However, the following should be observed.

Cylinders.

Periodically, the cylinders may become slightly stiff to operate. If this occurs, add 2 to 3 drops of a light lubricant such as 3 in 1 oil to the key slot. Insert the key and operate the cylinder to spread the lubricant. Any lubricant that spills onto the front of the cylinder should be removed with a dry cloth.

Multi Point Lock.

The lock is a seal unit and will not require any maintenance over its life. Clean the faceplate with a cloth, which has been moistened in a mild detergent.

Hinges.

The hinges are lubricated and should not require any additional lubricant to be applied. Clean the hinges with a cloth, which has been moistened in a mild detergent.

Handles, Knockers, Numerals and Letter Plates.

These parts will not require any additional lubricant to be applied over its lifetime. Clean these parts with a cloth, which has been moistened in a mild detergent.

NOTE.

Under no circumstances should an abrasive pad, abrasive cleaning compounds, (Brasso), or aggressive cleaning solutions, be used.
